The course really could have used a bit of structure in how the lectures were presented. Each one was less a unified whole than individual independent lectures. I was hoping for more organization and increasing sophistication of the learning as the course progressed.

It is a good beginners course. I would rate it higher if the presenter took a much more structured approach, as well as write code whilst explaining, as opposed to pasting code "in order to save time" and then explaining afterwards.

I work within a software environment and we use an SQL database, the tutor on this video has clarified all select scripts and data information from joint tables and which tables in the test environment can be used to to link data and generate expected reports directly from the database. I am happy and beginner i am.

Good. However, in every video the first 1.5 minutes are the same while most of videos show exactly the same queries. And sorry for that, but the instructor makes annoying noises with his mouth :S Its a good way though for someone who has no idea to learn the basics of sql. With this knowledge you wont be able to do what is said in the introduction.
