This was a fantastic course Rob! Definitely, a morale-boosting and very informative course to learn for those in doubt. I think the only problem I had with the course was being unable to access the PDF resources(Using a PC) for multiple sections within the course. But overall, I recommend this to others that are passionate to launch a freelancing writing career!

I think this is a good match for me. As someone who is in the very early stages of practicing writing I am able to pick the lectures suitable for my current level of learning and returning to the business ones as they become applicable to my goal of becoming a freelance writer.

Can relate very strongly to everything he's said so far(very early on now). Given me simple ideas that have been a somewhat "duh why didn't I think of that?" moment. (Further on now - Udemy I guess feels the need to check in ever 20% or so) Really, this is an INCREDIBLY useful course. He covers SO much and allows me to make progress myself in each area before moving on.

This was an excellent course, except for the annoying music, which was way too loud. The instructor was easy to understand, and engaging. The material was presented in a well laid out format, and was a big picture of available writing opportunities. I love the resources that were provided, but would have liked a little bit more detail on some areas. Overall, I highly recommend this course to someone starting a writing business, but doesn't know where to begin.

I enjoyed this course as it prompted new and varied sources to make money as a freelance writer. I found the resources helpful in doing an initial search of potential markets. I felt the music at the beginning and end of each module was distracting and irritating causing me to fast forward with each module. Otherwise, I found this course very informative. It certainly is a good place to start as a freelancer.

This course is informative and entertaining. I didn't know if I would like this class at first, but after a couple of interesting modules, it was clearly a great choice. The instructor makes freelance writing seem easy, even for a beginner like me.

I identify with everything the instructor has shared so far in the program. I, too, have feelings of self-doubt about whether I am experienced enough to be a successful writer. Hearing the instructor say I don't need a number of years of experience, certain education or training inspires me to "jump right into it," as he suggests.

This is a fantastic course, full of actionable advice and delightful insights. I listened to it over and over and plan to implement much of the course's suggestions.

I really get steamed at hitting the wrong button then watching a 15 minute heartfelt profusely edited praise VANISH! Let's start again... in bare bones mode. I've been a fan of Rob's for about a year or maybe a wee bit more. Being an addicted creative writing student at our local community college system (possibly the largest on the planet) has given me a realization of a childhood dream... and promise to my Nana from 1954. Many of us have been lucky enough to be published locally or even regionally in various genres. Breaking down the class time during in a typical 13.5 week semester... interrupted by Fall-Spring breaks and mandatory holidays, one ends up with about 38 solid class sessions. Many class times are now 1.25 hours twice per week @ 2.5 hours/wk. Udemy classes give very close to that sans the giggles of millennials on their laptops, useless power-points, and those wonderful questions like, "Why is Hemingway famous?" in a !&%$@? Poetry class! Don't get me wrong. The experience and emo buzz of like-spirited fellow scribblers is over-the-top! But, for the money and the energy put into Rob's classes, along with privacy of NOT hearing the soundtrack to Black Butler animes through cheap earbuds of the giggling ninnies next to you, these classes are fun, detailed enough, and actually get you out into the publishing realm. Being a retired teacher (3rd career) who likes to send golden-nugget mini hints from freebie lit mags to fellow scribblers and staff, I find the information given most helpful to push one forward. The classes at the college are great. However, Rob's the guy who gets you out onto the 4 meter high dive at the pool, encourages you to go for it, then pushes your butt over the edge if you hesitate. "If you climbed the stairway and got onto the board, you should be in the water!" He promotes a solution to that adage, "The paralysis of analysis." (I learned in 6th grade from Sister John Mary the phrasing of tele announcers with 'old adage' was painfully redundant). And if these courses that fit your goals become offered at a great discount, skip the half-gainer or double back-flip. Just JUMP! You need to be "in the water." Addendum Oct. 1, 2016 Been busy and crazy. Am in a CRW Certificate final stage class with nonfiction essays as the genre. Pushing 67 years of age gives the material for a gazillion essays. Finishing THIS class, keeping it for reference, and tweaking it to my needs should be invaluable for "publishing" added to the college lessons. :-)
