Beat Your Competition with Local SEO

I already knew the basics of SEO. This course helped fill in gaps in my knowledge about how to apply SEO to local businesses.

I like that the rhythm is slow and the text in the slides concise, and this lets the ideas sink. I did not give a 5 because, as the instructor mentions at the beginning, the presentation is not slick.

This course had a lot of really good content.. The delivery was nice and relaxed and easy to take in. It's just Kudos included a bit more specifics as to what's necessary to rank well in local search. But overall it was a very good course.

SEO can be terribly complex sometimes. I've been doing it for years and heaven knows that it's easy to get confused or overwhelmed. But, this course actually lays out the essentials in an easy to follow, very very simplified approach. That's both awesome and a hinderance. What you get with this course are "the nuts", which is the 20% that brings you 80% of the results. I agree wholeheartedly and would recommend this course to any business owner who was just getting started. But, the hindrance is that some of the more important things are brushed over just as quickly as the less important things. If I were to recommend anything to make this one of the most perfect courses for the beginner SEO, it would be to include a video taking a person through buying an article and optimizing it for their website. Cover actually adding the title, headlines, alt tags, etc and using a plugin such as All-in-one SEO or whatever you recommend. Then, do the same with registering a website or posting articles just so that a person can bridge the gap in their mind. In fact, one of the things I likes MOST about this course is the video where you list the various types of sites to build backlinks on. Awesome list, I took notes on that for sure. In fact, if you were to include a text file with a hand full of sites to get started with, it would be very beneficial to your students. With all the places to link to, you could include a list of 150-200 really easily. Now, even considering that, this course is fantastic for a newcomer to SEO. I'm sure the author will read this review and I'll bet that by the time you are reading this review, the author has added the missing videos and list. If you are a business owner and want to learn how to SEO your own website (instead of hiring some schmuck like me lol) then get this course and go get'm.

Just what I was looking for. Told me where to look for info and how to find what to put on my website. Link to Yelp was particularly beneficial. Looking for more direct info like this. Thanks for the great course.

Although I've had many websites and blogs over the years, and thought I knew most of what I needed already, there was lots of really useful information in the course that was new to me, so I'm really glad I took it. The section on directories was particularly good. Excellent course - really useful and practical. Gets my highest recommendation.

I thought i was quite experienced in the world of SEO and Local Marketing until I watched this course. It had me reaching for a notebook and writing copious notes. I've learned so much and plan to put it into operation this weekend (watch out local competition).
