  • Variables

  • Arrays

  • Taking user input with InputBox

Good course, for getting started with the basics of AHK. Would like to see more advanced features explaining the usage of important commands from AHK manual.

It shows some basic stuff, and its fine. Guess that for someone who doesn't know much about programming, some things are unknown but could get it after re-watch. Overall is a good starting approach to the tool.

Sadly this course is outdated, now that v2 ist the default for AutoHotkey. Most say it is better to directly start to learn v2 not start with v1 and then switch, because the whole syntax is different and it is no use to learn v1 and then have to learn v2 also... I also have to agree with some other comments that the video quality itself is not very good; small screens, low resolution and the sometimes hard to understand accent.

Instructor was hard to understand. When I used the close caption his accent did not transcribe very well at all. The video was not large enough on the screen to read. When I made it bigger it was vary grainy and could ne be read. The material was way to simplistic. I understand it states it is for beginners but not sure this even counts. very very very beginner. You tube has better contents than this class. I am sorry for the poor comment. I am a developer that had never seen this topic and I found it painful fir follow. I visited a few youtube videos and found content much easer to follow and understand.

I thought it would be very complicated but actually it is not. I am able to learn it and it feels great!

So far it has been good although I have experience with the tool so I have covered most of this so far.

The actual syntax was not talked at all and it could have been shorter by leaving some of those program runnings out.

Exceptionally well put together, however, I had problems differentiating between actual commands and random names the tutor was writing down. Also, some function purposes were not fully explained. Like, why use "web_browser" instead of "Run, browsername". This part was a little incoherent. Overall, great study

It's very simple and straightforward course! My only gripe would be my lack of imagination on how to utilize such a marvelous tool!

Short and Direct. Gives enough information to get started and branches out to some specific uses (i.e. Excel).

1. Each section should refer to a resource (AutoHotKey Help, Website, etc) to explain the parameters 2. Should of introduce a AutoHotKey Editor after using Notepad. 3. Better real world examples (LoL) is already an abbreviation a. Hotkey options

If this course is for complete beginners you explain way to less things. Also this courses capitals seem kinda mixed up with just a little bit of knowledge in random areas. This ain't a complete AHK guide for beginners. It is just a random mix of bad tutorials.

So far, the instructor is well-prepared. He doesn't make clumsy mistakes in the middle of the video while you are absorbing the material. There are some instructors in different fields who are highly competent in the subject matter, but they don't bother correcting errors in their instructional videos. In fact, some of them pawn off such errors as some kind of 'lesson in troubleshooting' for the student. As if the instructor 'mean to do that'. I call that sloppiness and ill-preparedness. And it distracts from the flow of learning.
