This course will teach you how to mix using waves plugins. It will also teach you techniques to use while mixing. An overview for all the waves plugins used in this course will be given as well. This course features plugins used in the Musicians Bundle 2, H-series, and more. In this course I take a song from an artist named Rik Billz and go through each track explaining how I used Waves plugins to process all the tracks in the sessions. This is not a course where you will follow me and do what I do. In my opinion you do learn by simply copying someones moves. You need to learn why they made those moves. This course packs close to 2 hours of content and material.

A bit lite on the fundamentals, regarding 'what is' compressing etc. no bassline...that really drag this down. + for pleasant and good narrating throughout the course.

I went through the whole course. If this is a course for beginners, it is lack of conception of basic knowledge such as what is compressor, how does it work. If this is for those people who want to know more about wave plugin like me, there are only several normal plugins that are introduced. It makes me a bit disappointed. Only the introduction of "Brauer motion" plugin gave me some surprise. By the way, in the vocal session, when the instructor did the comparison between with compressor and without compressor, the one with compressor used "make up" button too much so that the volume was much more louder than the one without compressor. We can hear only the volume difference but not compressor. The last thing is that the sample is played too long time. Sometimes we can hear the difference within seconds, but the presenter still use minutes to play. That is very irritating.

Good course overall, the vocal mixing section is lacking a little bit. The vocals are very loud and it could be better by highlighting the importance of gain staging instead of just a mention at the beginning. Talk more about work flow and spending time in the actual mix process. An overview of mixing for 40 is not really a good way for a new engineer to spend their money.

Not what I expected from this course, The demo track was ridiculous and without a bass line, which is crazy for a mixing course. Showed few good things.
