Why take this course?

In this course we discuss the practice of Appreciative Inquiry (AI) as a collaborative and constructive inquiry process. We start with a brief overview of AI and its links to a strength-based approach to human development and organizational change versus a deficit-based change approach.  This leads to a conversation about the power of positive questioning and storytelling as effective ways to engage stakeholders in change efforts, including a guide to conducting appreciative interviews, and the impact of ‘best past’ questions.  Then, we explore the AI change method in the form of the 4-D cycle: Discovery, Dream, Design, and Destiny phases to tap into the core strengths of the organization.

This course examines the foundation principles of AI and the research that demonstrates the organizational impact of positive questions, and the relationship between positive possibilities of the future and the resulting actions.

Good content, however the way the information is conveyed is less than interesting. Just dull slides and the trainers reads most of the content. There is no passion or excitement in the voice making it difficult to remain focussed.

Excellent overview of Appreciative Inquiry, key theories and perspectives, and helpful insights into conducting an AI approach.

The course was great although I feel the material could be better illustrated with more exciting animations and visual demonstrations of the information. Still enjoyed it though and hopefully the author will look at a v 2.0 for this course. Thank you!

This course is a good introduction to understand Appricative Inquiry. It is not a training but it enables to have knowledge of the basics principles of the method.

The content is great, but it would be good to if it was more than just a powerpoint deck and a voice-over. Seeing someone discuss the content would be good.

The content had no examples and visual elements are missing in order to engage a learner. There were no examples and the script was delivered in a monotonous way. Please add some examples and visual elements

I was expecting to learn about Appreciative Inquiry principles but the course is about creating learning workshops based on Appreciative Inquiry. Hence it did not meet my need.

Not at all engaging, slow paced and clearly being read from a page. Doesn't make me excited about learning a new approach.

Very poor. The accent is hard to understand sometimes, the dynamic of course is boring. I am not sure if I will have motivation to finish this course.
