Course is pretty interesting and I am looking forward to trying out the software tools he has been suggesting. One thing I would suggest, however, is that the moderator should have done a dry-run of his presentation prior to taping and submitting since he repeatedly pronounced several words incorrectly. Also, would suggest not making the podcasts that were part of this as necessary for course completion. For the most part, the podcasts were long-winded, and were more about the individuals being interviewed and didn't seem as helpful as I would have liked.

Ich habe nach einer schnellen Möglichkeit gesucht noch vor dem neuen Update meiner App zumindest Basics im ASO zu verstehen. Der Kurz hat mir geholfen meine Keywords komplett zu verändern und anzupassen. Ich habe alle Keywords zu vorher geändert bin zuversichtlich bald Resultate zu sehen. Der Dozent hat alles sehr ausführlich und einfach verständlich erklärt. Kann ich jeder Zeit empfehlen.

Really good info, still relevant. Straight to the point, you will learn and practice step by step. If you are targeting Play Store just remember that the Title should have max 30 chars for Title and the keywords must be in the description of the App. I got my App ranked up few positions, yet I understand that this is a continuos job ;) https://goo.gl/bSGTig

***** Pros: ***** 1. Steve walks you through the process of the keyword research and shows a good example. 2. Explanations are clear and precise. 3. Very interesting interviews with experts. 4. Steve shows very useful tools that can be used for keyword research. 5. The keyword research strategy that works. ***** What can be improved (I don’t think that these are cons, just ways for improvement): ***** 1. The course name “App Marketing Using App Store Optimization (ASO)” is a little bit misleading. The author presents a keyword research strategy + some very interesting and useful interviews. But ASO includes other topics such icons, screenshots, how to write description, etc. The interviews have useful information about those topics. But interviews are not lectures. In my personal and subjective opinion it would be great to have lectures on those topics. Lectures cover only keyword research. Keyword research is only a fraction of ASO. Therefore I think that it would be better to name this course something like: “ASO: Keyword research” or “Keyword research ASO strategy” etc. 2. As I understand this keyword research strategy works better for iOS devices (they have a keyword field where you can enter all desired keywords). But in Google Play Store I can only put my keywords into the title, short description, full description. It seems much harder to write a description that makes sense and have all these keywords that were discovered using the technique presented in this course. So this course targets mainly iOS not Android. I know that having an app in the Apple App Store is mentioned in the requirements for this course, but in my opinion it would be better to mention that this course is mainly for iOS developers also in the title and in the description to avoid confusion. ***** Overall conclusion: ***** I have completed many online classes (most of them on Coursera and a few on Udemy). I think that this course worth the money and time. Even if it doesn’t cover all possible topics in ASO in lectures it gives you a good working strategy for a keyword research that can be applied mainly for iOS devices, but it also can be very useful for Android developers too.

Steve really slows things down and shows you the process. He takes time to make sure you are getting it. His methods are easy to follow and keep up with. The knowledge he shares easily saves you months of research. His interviews are just as valuable, talking to industry giants, that share more knowledge. I highly recommend this course to anyone that is looking to learn ASO for themselves, and bring in downloads.

Solid information about how to do ASO for your apps. Having worked a lot with SEO (search engine optimisation) I see a lot of similarities and the course give you great knowledge on how to look for keywords and how to check the, Thanks for a great course.

So... I clicked on Take This Course button. 79 dollars later I ended up with completely different name for the app I'm currently working on. What I have learned from this course I have turned into reality the same afternoon. Right after finishing the course. Steve Young gives an essence of what ASO is and how to master it. No theoretical blurb, just easy to understand and actionable instructions on how to increase app's visibility in the AppStore. Out of couple of dozens of courses I took with Udemy this one offers greatest ROI. Short, concise and immediately actionable. Bum!
