I wish I had this course 20 years ago when I started in the corporate theatre business. I started as PA and wore many hats eventually running GFX and designing decks. I’ve been exposed to show calling of course but now I find myself doing it more often. I feel like such an imposter! ?. I would love to find a teacher/ mentor to help refine and communicate more effectively. Thanks for this course! I wish the part where you demo show calling is the best! Wish it were longer.

I have been doing corporate work as a show caller intermittently for about five years, but always worried about what I didn't know or what I may have been doing wrong. This was helpful for giving me a more comprehensive overview as well as clearing up lingering details and questions that I had. Thank you!

Solid overview of all the functions on site, and how the showcaller works with each. Particularly appreciated the example script and demonstration of showcalling on site, suggest more of these to showcase pace/style/event types.
Great for anyone in the industry who hasn't worked on many live events or from minimal experience in production.

Thank you for the course, it was very useful to have insight into the corporate world and the differences it has with the theatre industry. I particularly found the visuals with the show call over it very useful as I am a visual learner.

This course is an excellent insight into showcalling within the corporate world, and is directed well at those with an existing theatre-based background. Coming into this course with no direct experience of what corporate events really looked like, the level of 'difficulty' (through means of terminology used and explanation) was pitched just right. I would highly recommend to all interested in showcalling, both inside and outside of corporate, as it gives great context into how this role varies (and stays the same) between different industries. The attached resources give an excellent summary to supplement the videos, and I am sure that I will be looking to them again in the future. The content I have learned during this course will certainly be useful to me personally as I progress throughout my stage management training, and later career. Thank you, Kate!

Great course that gives you a real insight into what it takes to be a show caller for corporate events. I really liked the comparisons to theatre and corporate and the good and the bad things about corporate showcalling, very honest. The resources attached are useful as a reminder of what was covered.
