What you will learn

Use Amplesound guitars to aid with songwriting and production.

Why take this course?

As this course progresses, you should learn how to use Amplesound guitar emulation software to add realistic guitar parts to your song writing and productions.

During the course, acoustic guitar software based on Taylor and Martin acoustic guitars are used, as well as a nylon string Luther guitar.

Additionally, bass guitar emulation software based on Fender bass guitars are used.

Amplesound software sampled from a Fender Stratocaster guitar is briefly used too.

If you do not presently own any Amplesound software, demos that run for seven days are available.

Additionally, Amplesound provides 'lite' versions of some of there guitars that do not contain a trial expiration date.

You don't need the full software to get the most from this course. But it would help.

Version 3 of the software is used throughout this course.

According to Amplesound, version 3 brings product name changes, apparently for naming consistency. Each instrument is more descriptive. For example, instead of Ample Guitar G for the Les Paul, the new name is “Ample Guitar LP”.

PC: Windows XP, Vista, 7 or higher, 64-bit only; 10G hard disk space. Intel i5 or higher.

MAC: OS X 10.9 or newer. 10G of hard disk space.

VST2, VST3, AU, AAX, and standalone.

If you are looking for a top-quality, professional-level acoustic guitar VSTi Ample Sound is definitely worth a look at and listen to.

Definitely not a bad course, however there are lot of things that could have been like: 1. Be more organised and structured in explaining various segments - Strummer, Riffer etc. 2. Be more descriptive and show importing / exporting etc. 3. Avoid automated voice - "Emily".

This course offered good, helpful information for someone (like me) starting out with Amplesound Guitar. It was worth the reasonable price. And I would have given it four or even five stars — if it weren't for the AI voice of "Emily," which really, really put me off. Is this a thing now in online instruction? I hope not. I mean, you couldn't just do these chapters in your own voice, since you wrote the narration? The "voice" of the thing you named "Emily" just hurt my ears. Maybe "she" could teach accounting — but to use computer-generated speech, with its pronunciation and emphasis determined by algorithm rather than emotion, in a course meant for musicians — who (if nothing else) are attuned to sound?? Just not right.

goes through the basics and functions but does not go into editing and creating riffs or strum patterns, how to use riffs in DAW or using riffs to create strum patterns. All VITAL to use of software !
