Why take this course?

Autodesk Fusion 360 is one of the most powerful tools for 3d printing.

After this course you will be able to design complex models for any purpose (and also export and 3d print them as well). We will start from scratch to learn the Fusion 360 interface to make sure no one is left behind (If you are experienced with Fusion 360 you may of course skip that part). Further into the course we will learn how to create more complex projects with the help of patterns, lofting and many more functions. At the end of the course you will have the chance to prove the skills you have learned in a final project and make some beautiful renders of the final model.

Project Oriented Course

I think the best way of learning is by practising and doing it yourself. Thats why you can start designing your own shapes with Fusion 360 right from the beginning with the help of the videos and lectures in this course.

Check your progress

This course includes quizzes so you can check whether you are on track or if have missed something.

Great video overall! Helped me get into F360 without any troubles. Looking forward to more content by you.

I was a little unsatisfied with this course: On the one hand, we are on a very practical set, but sometimes the explanations are a little confusing. And what I missed was understanding the sequence of operations, the philosophy of the software. However, there is a real desire to transmit relevant and useful information, and a lot has been useful to me, but I have the impression of having missed half of the software.

it is good to follow however not much in depth explanations. A lot of things were repeated so I have skipped some of the parts

In many of the Videos he repeated everything all the time which was a little annoying overtime. The course could've been a lot shorter. I had to skip many sections till he got to a point of something interesting again.

Thank you for including a description of how to edit dimensions, pan, zoom, and rotate easily in the very first video! This is crucial and most tutorials I've found have skipped this explanation.

OK at a basic level, but hard to stay focused as the instructor can't seem to find his words, and is presenting in monotonous and uninspiring way.

I learned a lot. It would be nice to have some explanation regarding specific area for example construct or assemble.

I like the course. For me personally the last chapter was what I was looking for. A real-world project example. The "sweep" and "lofting" chapters were informative as well.

The videos are just comented usage of F360. it is not explaining the tools and cursors. Sculpting can be so much differnt. He uses ALT key, did not bothered to explain why. what is the difference to other usage. Where was the option to form edge,....... So far this course has taught me less tha YouTube channel of Lars Ch.

This educator seems like he's winging it. He may have a topic, but doesn't execute his steps in an order that comes across as fluid. He acts like he's teaching off the cuff for things HE thinks are important, or in an order that makes sense to him only after learning the software. I think he could do an over view video, then have several shorter smaller videos on each of the tools or steps, that we students who are looking to perform a single function can pop right to the video they need instead of trying to figure out how to pull the tip out of these videos as they are right now.

Very basic, I wish there was more advanced content on surfaces and sculpture. I work with Solid Works, and I took this course to specialize in another software, and with the basics I learned I can get into software, but nothing more. I wish the videos were more edited, Alex is very nice, but the explanations are repeated and sometimes unclear.

Uhm, good, uhm, information, uhm, but, uhm, hearing, uhm, "uhm" every other, uhm, sentence is, uhm, really, uhm, distracting. Uhm, you might, uhm, want to, uhm, work on that, uhm, speech habit. Uhm.

It's supposed to be a beginner course. So far the course is frustrating. He is not showing beginners how to do basic things. He just starts drawing random objects. He never goes over basics like how to create a file, open a file, save a file, etc... He should start with clicking the Fusion360 icon on the desktop. Not already having the program up and loaded with pre-made shapes in his library. He should go through every single toolbar and menu feature in sequence. Not randomly skip around as his personal whims suggest. From my experience with AutoCAD, he is also not using the correct terminology for shape features and functions either (eg: selecting a face of an object and extruding it off a two dimensional plane, views for different object faces, etc). Fusion360 is AutoDesk's version of AutoCAD redesigned with an emphasis on 3D printing. He never even goes into what the program is designed for. Overall - to me - the course does not seem well planned out/thought out so far. The free tutorials from AutoDesk University on YouTube are superior so far.

I don't know if this is accurately classified as a beginner course as it assumes a lot about what the student knows and some information is quickly glossed over or not explained altogether. I've followed about 45 minutes of this course so far. I can keep up, but only because I have a bit of experience already with SketchUp and Blender. I still have to pause and go back and watch the video again to actually see where he clicks so that I can follow along that way. I don't feel like I'm learning how to use the program, but rather just following steps without getting more context about what certain tools actually do or how they're used. I picked this up for free, so I can't complain about the price, but I'm not sure if I will continue all the way to the end. Thank you anyway for putting in the work to record these videos. :)
