Why take this course?

What are the criteria for the success of any software project?

Is it delivering before the deadline? Or delivering all the requested features?

What if we delivered all the requested features, before the deadline but no one used this software?

The main criteria of success are to deliver value to the client, solving a problem or fulfilling a need.

But how can we deliver value while the requirements are changing constantly and also the plan?

That's why we need to work agile, we need to experiment a lot and validate step by step until we fulfill the client's need.

And that's what you will learn in this course

We will cover how to handle changing requirements in agile projects and how to validate those requirements frequently and how to adapt the plan according to the market changes and to customer feedback.

As well as how agile teams are formulated and the role of the product owner in project success.

And above all that , you will learn about the agile mindset which is the foundation of all these practices

And here is the Agenda of the course:

  • Introduction to Agile

  • The Product Owner Role

  • Handling Requirements

    • The Backlog

    • Definition of Done

    • User Stories

  • Planning and Tracking

    • Estimation and Planning Poker

    • Velocity

    • Planning Levels

    • Release Planning and Tracking

    • Sprint Planning and Tracking

The course was an ok overview of scrum. Some of the items in the final test were not covered in the course material. Some of the material such as the burndown chart was confusing. Sometimes the instructor's drawings distracted or didn't add value to the explanations.

I really like the way the instructor takes you through the course material. Very visual which I can relate - exceeded my expectation, so far

If you have experience with Agile in practice, this course is very basic. Also, in some places audio quality is very poor and Assignments could be better if there was a case study for which you should create sprint plan, user stories, etc.

The course provided fundamental knowledge of the Agile and scrum etc but at times it was difficult to hear what the lector was saying.

The sound is very different in volume from one video to another. It makes the following of the course very difficult and not fluent as you constantly need to re-adjust the volume.

Nicely presented main Agile concepts. Combination of slides/downloadable resource files and whiteboarding parts keeps the dynamic during the self-pace learning process. Liked the practical examples included as well as requesting participants for the active participation.

I like the content, but not the format. Particularly the topic then quiz after 6mins . It is not friendly for people driving.

The course was OK, but the quiz questions are taken from the chapter that follows, not the one I just ended. Not a problem though if this is not the first time you hear about Agile.

I think the course represents a quite established/corporate view of Agile, which focuses on Scrum processes and other associated practices. It doesn't (yet) describe Agile culture - a focus on simplicity (what's the least we can do to meet an objective); ensuring teams have options (the heart of Agility); continuous learning and experimentation; etc.

Volume of the voice is very low and the words are not very clear. The explanation is also very vague and not structured.

While the Presenter knows the material she is difficult to understand. This is due to speed of her speaking AND the poor quality of the audio in some of the sessions.

This is the first time learning the Agile way. I like the interactive between the instructor and the presentation. Problem: audio keeps fluctuating and sometimes is muffled, making it hard to understand the instructor's lesson.

Lots of typos and grammatical errors, to the point where I failed quizzes because I couldn't comprehend what was being asked.

While the facilitator is knowledgeable, her pronunciation for most of the speech is too incomprehensible to follow, making it a a very unpleasant experience. Not able to understand most of her speech spite of my best intentions.

It covers the topic, however, I am having trouble understanding the accent, getting better as it progresses.
