Following the introduction, you’ll learn how to properly greet a candidate and then quickly transition into setting expectations and gaining control of the interview.    This section will give you the confidence you need manage even the most difficult candidates.

After you learn how to take control of the interview, you’ll learn the difference between a great interview question and a bad one.  Unfortunately, most of the questions that are asked in interviews today, around the world, are really bad.  We’ll teach you how to avoid them.

Once you have a foundation in proper questioning techniques, you’ll learn the most important interviewing skill you’ll need – probing skills.   We devote two sections to this critical topic and provide examples of some common tactics that candidates use to try to avoid telling you the full story.   With these skills you’ll never be fooled by a candidate who sounds great on the surface, but can’t back up their answers with facts.

Pros: - Overall useful information - Good course structure - Lots of resources and quizzes Cons: - Mostly oriented towards management/sales hiring - Not enough guidance for technical interview - Quizzes are a bit too straight forward or even "easy" - The course is too short

I like the the course but the presented methods are mostly applicable to senior candidates. I miss information how to interview young fresh graduates and candidates with very short working experience.

I dont agree the point of asking same questions to all candidates, most of the candidates shares interview experience and questions with peers so that the second person can easily go through the interview just by answering our questions. This will lead to bad hire. We should ask questions based on their 1)resume 2) our requirements 3) candidate experience.

It was a good match and I learned a lot. I feel more confident about interviewing now. I hope that in future versions they go a little more over how candidates game the system and methods to evade that, as it was covered only briefly but was mentioned as one of the three main goals of the course. Also, I'll have to see if there is another course on specifically asking technical questions in an interview in such a way that they don't tend to be brainteasers, as I feel like this is a very important topic. Overall I liked this course.
