Is Adobe Xd really better than Photoshop when it comes to webdesign?

The problem
The problem with designing websites in older design tools (like Photoshop or Illustrator) is that these tools don't have the features that UX/UI designers really need to help them designing websites. Like working with color pallets, font style guides and repeating elements. Or things like sharing your work via prototypes. These old software tools are also not vector, which can be an issue for development.

What is the solution?

Working with Adobe Xd! Because Adobe Xd was built with UI/UX designers in mind. This means that Adobe has done everything to make sure that you can design and share your work without limitations. The only thing you have to do is prepare a few things upfront and then re-use your elements on the whole website.

What if I don't have any design elements?

In this course was build for people who only have Adobe Xd on their computer. I will give you my design files to practice and I will give you websites where you can get fonts, colors and images for free (for your next project).

The opportunity
Learning how to design websites comes with huge opportunities. You will be able to design your own website (like I do in this course) or design websites for other people or businesses. This makes website creation a hugely profitable skill. Companies are willing to spend thousands of dollars for each website.

Why is this course different?

Most Adobe Xd courses on this platform focus on App Design. This is cool and very fancy, but I like a more realistic approach. Because from my experience an UI/UX designer doesn't start his first interface design project for a cool startup. We start by designing websites for web and mobile. This is why I believe this course is very different from most of the courses about Adobe Xd. Again, app design is fancy, but I like to give you a skill that you can actually start using next week (because you probably already know a few people who need a redesign for their current website, don't you?).

I am not new to this game
I've gathered more than 30.000 subscribers on YouTube over the past few years and generated more than over 4 million views. I've been so thankful and happy that people like my content. That's why I'm also creating online video courses now.

Step by step
In this course we are not going to rush and design a quick cool website without learning the basics first. There is enough of that on the internet. I am going to show you a real project where I'm going to start from scratch and slowly built up 4 pages in Adobe XD. This means that I will show you all the steps, from the first title to the last button.

Once we progress in the course (and you've seen the same techniques over and over) we will slowly start increasing the speed so will also be able to speed up your skills by watching this course.

Reviews from others
"I watch your videos and I get inspired every time because of your work/design." - Sam
"Your channel has inspired me to start designing myself." - Jordy
"I can't wait until the next video. I am following you for 4 years already and I've learned how to design this way :)" - Floor

I just learned html, css, and javascript! Made my first website (Thanks to the NetNinja!). I am very glad to end up here. Abode XD is amazing. It seems like it will add a lot of quality to my projects. It's unreal.

I found Rino when I was trying to learn more about using Elementor as a page builder. I want to be a web designer and after taking several courses in HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and Wordpress my head was spinning, I couldn't figure out how to efficiently translate my designs online and I realized I hated coding! Finding Elementor (and Rino!) set me on a path to being a web designer that doesn't "need" to code, even though I can. I'd never used XD before and this is soooo much better than doing the same thing in Photoshop, which is how my other courses taught it. I can't wait to learn more about translating an XD design into the Elementor page builder. I've already watched all Rino's YouTube videos and I'm about to start his next Udemy course on Elementor. This content has been very valuable to me as I start my freelance business. Thank you!

After seeing Your videos on YouTube where you talked about Adobe XD I Knew I had to enroll in this course. many thanks for not boring me with tons of theories. You showed me almost everything I needed to being a great UI/UX Designer.

I am already a fan of Rino and his Living with Pixels channel on Youtube, so I was confident when I bought this course, that it would really great! I was not let down. It is really clear and easy to understand, and with a lot of information about workflow. I was also really happy with the pricing of the course, I much appreciate that it is kept down compared to a lot of other courses here on Udemy. It makes it accessible for all sorts of people and levels of interest/investment. Thanks Rino for a great course. I am heading over to your course on building a blog in Elementor right now! :)

This is an excellent course on how to design websites first in Adobe Xd, to show your clients before you start building the real website - I think design is the most important - Clear and simple to follow - Wow I really have learnt something new to speed up my work flow. Excellent.

This instructor spends too much time on shortcuts. He could actually make a whole entire adobe xi shortcuts lab.

Simple and clear explanation so far. Love you man. You're my hero. I have a week to design a prototype for myself and you've really made this simple and clear. More power to you. Definitely worth a lot more than what I spent for this course. Kudos!

You're too fast, but thanks for the pause/play button - that saves me :) Also, it would be better if you provide a pricese measures such as the size of the box, and etc. It'll help a lot for newbies like me. And please don't assume everyone are experts in PS and AI. I maybe change my ratings after the course but that's just for now.

It was a great course simple, crisp and to the point. Loved the presentation. Did not waste much time on repetition. If there was sometime that needed repetition, Rino would fast forward with a bg music effect...lol! that was cool. Would love to see the conversion of this to a live website (html, css , wordpress, etc... whichever works for you). Also more XD design websites since I think XD is the future especially if conversion becomes available. Can't wait for that to happen!! Thank you :)

The first part was great, clear explanations and able to follow along. It would be useful if the prototyping was done in a similar style with a follow along to convert the part 1 into a prototype. Overall a very good course well worth signing up to.

I really like the course, maybe I would have a lesson also on "go to top" or similar things. Great job!

Matthew18 August 2020

Awesome class - as someone entering into the web design space this was a great intro course to Adobe XD.

Jason16 August 2020

The instructor has a talent for presenting difficult concepts in a succinct, cogent, and engaging manner. In turn, the overall learning experience is much easier; comprehensions of technical terminologies are therefore efficient and culminating!

Abhishek14 August 2020

The course is good but it not well explained, as for a beginner the working of the tools should have been explained in detail, The second, at some point Rino was too quick to explain things following his was an issue. The third, it seems Rino was just showing how he made this design rather than explaining carefully how XD works. I came here to do this course after seeing his youtube tutorials, however this course does not offer in-depth info which could have been a plus. I would like Rino to re-design this course and make it better for that its a paid course, should be better than free youtube tutorials. Good Luck Stay Blessed.

Really great course with a thorough and dedicated instructor. One of the best courses I have bought on Udemy. Thanks again!
