Brilliant course, I used these techniques at start of and during my labor. I ended up having a waterbirth and it was a cathartic experience for us because my partner was able to assist me throughout the birth and helped me feel safe and supported. He was also in stark contract to other fathers we met who either fainted from seeing the epidural and missed it entirely or some who sat and waited or brought water occasionally. Even with a trauma background I had no PPD and a postive birthing experience. I can say that various points helped with contractions at different times. Sometimes not at all so we tried out other points on the body. Points took about 10 to 50% of the pain of contractions away and without it, I wouldn’t have given birth naturally. It was my first birth, Contractions started 11am, started being quite painful at 4pm, went to hospital at 6 pm with only 2 minutes between contractions, at 8 pm was in birthing pool, after 6 hours at 2 am gave birth which was considered quick for first birth. Gave birth in Germany. Would recommend this course to every woman giving birth. Had a relative with a traumatic birth recently and am kicking myself that I didn’t recommend this course to her. I recommend coupling it with the course from Otvos; Prenatal and Postnatal Birthing Classes - From Belly to Baby

daha uzun olabilirdi, doğumla ilgili daha fazla örnek gösterilebilirdi , kaç kişiye uygulandığı, kaç kişide etkili olduğu vb. istatistikler verilebilirdi, genel olarak güzel.

I don't think repeat testimony is necessary during an informational video. Individual problem solving and application that teaches is better. More depth would have been helpful.

I would like to get a better understanding of what points help with different parts of the body. Like the shoulder point just shown will that help with neck pain?

As a birth doula a few of us were shown acupressure points to use during labour. This course however, showed how the points could be used in combination, as well as for postpartum. The instructors were clear, having the models and seeing the actual points being pressed were so beneficial. The additional resources - the booklet and the cheat sheet were like an added bonus. Though most of the births I attend are at a Birth Centre, where the Mom has the space to move around and try various positions, when in the private hospitals, space is limited. So being able to use the acupressure points is great!

Excellent course on the subject. Short, to the point videos. Time effective! We got this course only 2 days before our due date, and finished in 2 days. Also we did not know that after our baby turns, we should have continued the moxa. It was super useful, and we will get back on the track.

This course gives a clear overview of the acupressure points and when they are generally best used during the different stages of labour and through the postpartum period. Tips are also given for reducing nausea and anxiety and to help with turning a poorly positioned baby or one presenting as breech. The information is clear and concise and easy to follow. Good introduction to the topic.

The course is very informative. Its great that there is actual feedback from others experience whilst using these techniques and it describes well when certain points work best and how best to work with your partner. Staying in tune with there feedback and what feels good. Broken down in stages. So far so good. Really enjoying it. I know some acupressure points already but good to see how they are best used during labour and how the points can feel quite different during labour as apposed to pre labour.
