This is an excellent course. The content is very organized and comprehensive. The instructor is clear and easy to follow. Having taken many theory based sailing courses online, I can say this is absolutely one of the best instructors and courses that you will find.

It doesn't correspond 1-1 with ASA question & answers. Also 104 supplemental is actually 103 supplemental. (see the video)

The ASA 104 Bareboat is another great course from Udemy and Caption Howard . I Was given all the material I needed by the Captain but I missed 4 problems on my written test from careless mistakes. I am now taking the ASA 105 Costal Navigation and I plan to watch the Udemy video at least twice. Please plan to do the Celestial Navigation Course at some time, if possible!!! Thanks!!

Addition material appeared to be from the 103 Class. Also navigation DR section was very light on content

This is only due to the repeating of course material between 103 and 104. It was surprising but I assume it is what the ASA course does as well. Still, very good information and easy to digest.

I just received a 90% grade on my bareboat written exam and had lots of excellent info. while passing the sailing practical's to receive my bareboat certification. I totally believe this achievement was mainly from me studying this 104 bareboat course. It was highly informative, and very easy to follow. I definitely recommend this course to all future bare boaters.

There are a few quirky errors in the slides, but otherwise this was a great learning tool. It helps reinforce the ASA reading material with real-life examples and in many cases a better explanation than what you find in the book.

This program needs editing and is not as good quality as 101 and 103. Retains material covered in 103 and some is so labeled. Duplicate material within 104 also (bridges for example). Repeated narrative on my PC. Some transitions missing when topic changing. Otherwise OK course. Would have liked to see a DR problem related to determining course, speed (current effect) etc. rather than only the math calculations. Did not use indicated speed of boat vs. current or tide current, use of fixed landmarks, etc. more typical of true DR problems.

While I haven't learned too many new things, if this is what I need to know to ace the 104 test, then I think that is a good thing. It means I've learned it all and it's a great review. Instructor is easy to listen to and thorough.

Where is the test? I was disappointed to not be able to test my knowledge.
Sometimes the information came a bit too slow, sometimes very fast due to new or unfamiliar terms. Many of images were quite helpful. There were some excellent and very helpful suggestions not in the ASA books. Thank you!
