Why take this course?

Welcome to this course 3D modelling everyday objects in blender. 3D modelling is the first process in the creative 3D art pipeline. It sits right next to the concept development phase hence, it has a great significance in the 3D industry.

There are so many learning resources out there that teach you the basics of the software. But here in course, we learn the skill and the correct approach needed along with the software.

We all know, practice makes one perfect, this course aims to provide practice that we require by using simple house hold objects.Creating house hold objects is a great way to practice modelling, because it allows you to observe, touch, feel and study the interaction with light.

This course is split across 3 Progressive levels containing 3 objects in each level making a total of 9 different objects. We start with simple objects starting from a cloth hanger and progress to objects involving more parts. You will be learning the simplest approach to modelling. The exercises found in this lessons will make you a more confident not just with 3D modelling but also in blender. If you are not using blender, you can still follow this course as the methods for modelling are same and can be translated to other software packages.

The techniques that I have included are the ones that I wish I knew when I first started.

At the end of the course, you will know the right approach, and techniques to model any object.

Enroll now and I hope to see you in the class.

I really enjoyed this course and learned so much. I recommend reviewing shortcut keys and basics before you start as this course is more for an advanced beginner. I had a little experience already and it helped me to follow along especially when the instructor moved quickly or didn't mention the keys he was using. By lesson 3, I was in the groove and was able to finish the models easily. I also kept a notebook next to me to take notes. I can't wait to continue modeling in Blender, thank you!

This course is really, really good. The instructor's choice of modeling common household items is brilliant and is unlike other tutorials that tend to focus on either an entire scene or an incredibly detailed model. By modeling 9 different items of increasing complexity, you gain a chance to slowly build your Blender skillset. I really appreciated that the instructor works to explain not just what he is doing, but also why he is doing a particular action. Blender is so flexible that there are many different ways to model an object; however, the consequences of decisions made early when modeling an object can either make a later stage either much easier or much harder, so understanding why a particular action is chosen is very helpful. What 4.5 instead of 5 stars? First, the video editing could use improvements. It appears that the instructor has just cut long recordings down to be shorter, so the transitions are rather abrupt between lectures covering a given item. Second, the instructor sometimes forgets to explicitly state the keyboard shortcuts he is using. Keyboard shortcuts are key to Blender productivity and, while they are clearly second nature to the instructor, I find it very helpful for when the instructor explicitly states which shortcut is being used on every step. And third, while the instructor does have the mouse/keystroke display activated, it is very small and difficult to read on either a smart phone, monitor, or TV.

I have learned so much from this course. The explanation of each section was amazing. The course is well planned and structured thoughtfully. The lectures are easy to follow along. Harshavardhan is a true master in hard surface modelling. Shared important tools and best practices throughout the course. I want to recommend this course to everyone who wish to jump start there modelling journey.

Its always beneficial to watch experienced modelers and learn their approach and favorite tools as there are usually a few alternative options for approaching any modeling task in Blender. This course furthered my understanding of tools I've otherwise overlooked.

Nice to meet you, I am Japanese. I was able to model it all the way through! It was the most very easy to understand of all the designers! I learned a lot while having fun modeling. I hope you make a part 2. I will try lantern modeling.
